What Is E-Band?
The E Band is a high-density, short wavelength frequency range from 60GHz to 90 GHz that, due to the directional properties afforded by the short wavelengths, is frequently used for RF/Microwave backhaul links. The typical range of E-Band backhaul applications is about 3km. The E-Band cannot be used for long-range signal transmission without very high-power systems due to significant attenuation caused by atmospheric gasses absorbing the signals.
